This program provides basic medical services to residents of this county who cannot receive health care coverage from any other source and who are eligible for the program. Eligibility is based on income and resources.

Provides community mental health services. Use the main phone number to contact an office for an appointment or to ask for more information about eligibility and programs. The 24-hour toll free Crisis Hotline is 1-800-832-1009. This crisis number is for people facing an emergency situation, such as having a homicidal or suicidal thoughts. If your call is an emergency, a crisis team may be sent out to help manage your situation. If necessary, emergency services may also be contacted to respond to your crisis.Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

East Texas Food Bank

This organization provides food to more than 200 partner agencies, in an effort to feed children, the working poor and seniors throughout 26 counties in East Texas. They also operate a mobile food pantry and maintain two community gardens to grow food for the needy. Call or go online to locate emergency food assistance in your area.

Operates a food pantry and provides clothing to the needy. People can get food one time per month and can come look for clothing every week. The Dorcas House is open every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A faith-based agency that serves meals daily and has partnered with local businesses in a 'voucher system' that allows them to provide a wide variety of services to needy people. These include, but aren't limited to, gasoline or bus tickets for stranded travelers, lodging and rent-help for the homeless, prescription medication (closely monitored) for the sick, utility payments for the elderly and low-income, diapers and baby-food for needy mothers, and countless other services.
